A whole lot of Switch 2 games are on sale this week, including several titles in the Persona series, as well as Yakuza 0: Director's Cut and Sonic X Shadow Generations. Many of these are part of Best Buy's Sega Sale--which doesn't have an end date, but is packed with enticing offers. And with the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, we're seeing a bunch of new promotions that apply to both the film and Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary merch. From posters and popcorn tins to free gift cards and more, there's a lot of cool stuff to check out. Of course, there's also the usual onslaught of video game and accessory deals--so if you're in the market for a new controller or headset, there's something for you, too. Here's a look at the best Nintendo deals this week.
Mario 40th Anniversary Deals
Super Mario Bros. officially celebrated its 40th anniversary last year, and now a bunch of related merch, games, and other gear are on sale.
Mario Deals at Best Buy

At Best Buy, you can get a Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary Collectible Game Case when you buy two select Mario titles. Just add two games from a selection that includes Super Mario Bros Wonder, Mario Tennis Fever, and Mario Kart World, among others, and the collectible game case will be added to your cart automatically.
Mario Deals at Target

Over at Target, you can get a free poster when purchasing any Mario game. However, this one might come with a few caveats--while it's listed in Target's Weekly Ad, we're not seeing anything listed on Target's actual storefront. Given that info, your mileage may vary. The same is true for the $100 Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary Gift Card, which comes bundled with a collectible case (but does not appear on Target's online storefront). Consider venturing out to your local brick-and-mortar to see if any are in stock.
One thing that is confirmed, however, is Target's exclusive Super Mario Popcorn Tin with Lid. It's available for just $10 and looks like a cool bit of decor for your game room or home theater. This one is listed online, though it'll likely sell out fast. You'll also get a free $15 Target Gift Card if you purchase a $100 eShop Card--consider using your extra cash to buy the Popcorn Tin.
- Target's Mario Poster -- Free with select Mario video games
- Super Mario Popcorn Tin with Lid -- $10
- $100 Nintendo eShop Card -- Free $15 Target Gift Card
Mario Galaxy Movie Preorders

Even though it just hit theaters, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie preorders are already live. These come in a wide range of styles like a Walmart exclusive tin, a limited-edition steelbook, and more. There's also a nice two-movie collection that pulls together The Super Mario Bros. Movie and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (it's just $50 on 4K Blu-ray). Check out our The Super Mario Galaxy Movie preorder guide for all the details.
Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch Console Deals

If you're looking for a deal on a Switch 2, you might want to wait until next week, when Nintendo is offering a $20 discount if you purchase a Switch 2 alongside the Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 Switch collection starting April 12. Both physical and digital versions of the game are eligible for the bundle deal. This will stick around for a while, as the promotion ends on May 9. The game normally costs $70, but you'll get it for $50 with this offer. You can also find the physical game for $59 at Woot.
As for the original Switch hardware, GameStop is offering the Switch Lite (Gray) for $180 (was $230), and a refurbished Switch OLED Model is $270 (was $400) at Best Buy. Switch console deals are hard to come by, so expect to pay full price for both the Switch and Switch 2 for the foreseeable future.
- Nintendo Switch Lite (Gray) -- $180 (
$230) - Nintendo Switch OLED (Refurbished) -- $270 (
$400)
Nintendo Game Deals

Best Buy is currently discounting a few Sega games on Switch 2, and some of these deals are being price-matched by Amazon. You'll find Yakuza 0: Director's Cut for $25 (was $50), Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S for $25 (was $40), and Persona 5 Royal for $25 (was $60). There's also Persona 3 Reload for $30 (was $60), giving you plenty of opportunities to add some iconic games to your collection for cheap. We'd highly recommend Yakuza 0: Director's Cut, however, as $25 is a new all-time low price for the hit game.
If you don't mind picking up a preowned game, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is now just $40 (was $60) at GameFly. The game hasn't seen any notable discounts since its December 2025 launch, making this a wonderful opportunity to finally dive into the long-awaited adventure. It earned impressive reviews--our Metroid Prime 4 review gave it an 8/10, noting its well-crafted world, fun exploration, tense boss battles, and beautiful art design.
Over on Switch, you can find Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake for $40 (was $60). We'd highly recommend it to just about everyone, as it does a wonderful job of modernizing the iconic game for a new audience. For more retro action made modern, Super Mario RPG is available for $36 (was $60). That matches its lowest price ever, which we last saw in the summer of 2025. And if The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has you obsessed with Yoshi, you can pick up Yoshi's Crafted World for $47 (was $60).

Best Switch Accessory Deals

Best Buy's Amiibo deals have officially dried up, but there are plenty of cool accessories on sale this week. The Hori USB Camera for Switch 2 is $15 (was $35), so if you're looking to make the most of the console's enhanced online/communication abilities, it's a solid choice at this new low price.
For Switch, the highly rated Switch Accessories Bundle from RTop is $32 (was $50). Though RTop isn't quite a household name, the bundle has an impressive 4.6 rating with over 1,500 reviews. It includes 23 different pieces of gear--from a Joy-Con charging dock and racing wheels to TPU cover case and joystick caps--making it an easy way to stock up on accessories for cheap.
As for controllers, the Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Controller (Donkey Kong) is currently one of the best options. Available for $31.80 (was $60), this is the lowest price we've ever seen for the popular model (lower even than last week's price). Along with support for both Switch and Switch 2, it features a striking lenticular design that shifts as you move the controller. Coupled with two programmable back buttons, support for motion controls, and up to 40 hours of play on a charge, and it's quite a great deal at under $35. If you don't mind spending a few extra bucks, the PDP Afterglow Wave Wireless Controller is $40 (was $60). Along with eight RGB zones and four preset lighting modes, it features two programmable back buttons, support for motion controllers, and 40 hours of play on a single charge.
Other great deals include the Tomtoc Switch 2 Slim Carrying Case for $25.89 (was $37) and the Razer BlackShark V2 X Gaming Headset for $35 (was $60). The former is a compact way to keep your Switch 2 safe on the road, and the latter is a budget-friendly headset that punches above its weight. It supports 7.1 surround sound, features 50mm drivers, and offers plush earcups that should stay comfy even during extended play sessions.
