GS How To Get The Moon Jumper Vehicle In Starfield

There was a ton of content added with the Free Lanes update in Starfield, but one of the most intriguing new items is the Moon Jumper vehicle. Unlike the REV-8, the Moon Jumper is meant to be flown in the air, as it has a much higher boost threshold. It's truly enjoyable to drive, as you can soar above planets and moons and quickly get around to different POIs.

However, the Moon Jumper isn't something you can just buy from a Ship Service Technician or even through the Terran Armada DLC. Instead, you have to go out and manually search for the vehicle yourself in Starfield.

Moon Jumper location in Starfield

Unfortunately, there's no one specific answer as to where you can find your own Moon Jumper. Bethesda has made the vehicle a random encounter throughout the Settled Systems, making it difficult to find if you're not on the lookout for it.

While the Moon Jumper does spawn on random planets and moons, it seems to spawn in a specific POI that can be found in multiple galaxies. The POI you're looking for is called the "Defunct Broadcasting Station," and it looks like a small outpost with a large, silver radio tower on the top of it.

We managed to find one of the Defunct Broadcasting Stations in the Hawking system on the Hawking I planet. The Hawking system is located all the way to the right of your galaxy map, and it borders the very edge of the explored systems.

Specifically, you need to travel to the "Coniferous Forest" area, which is found just above the part of the land that looks like the real-life Italy boot formation. You can see exactly where we landed in the screenshot below.

It might take you a few landings to eventually find the Defunct Broadcasting Station POI, as we had to land at three different spots before finding it. The Defunct Broadcasting Station has a house icon, and you can see the radio tower if you zoom in on the POI and view the Surface Map after landing.

For reference, here's what our Defunct Broadcasting Station looked like on Hawking I:

When you manage to locate the POI, head over to it, and you'll find an open garage with the Moon Jumper inside. It's a red and white vehicle with large wheels and a glass cockpit. You can hop in the Moon Jumper from the ground, and upon entering, you'll get a message explaining what the vehicle is and how to use it.

Once you have the Moon Jumper in your possession, it will stay with you on your ship and appear after you land just like the REV-8 does. You can now also access the Moon Jumper from the Ship Services Tech at any landing dock.

If you don't want to visit Hawking I, you can also find Defunct Broadcasting Stations on Luna (Earth's moon in Sol), on a moon in the Sirius system, or on other planets. We haven't uncovered every location of the POI yet, but there seem to be dozens of them, according to the community. You just want to explore different planets and look out for radio towers, and you'll eventually find your own Moon Jumper.
